Yucatec Maya (/??ju??k??t??k ??ma????/; referred to by its speakers simply as Maya or as m??aya t?????an [m????ja????t??????n], is one of the 32 Mayan languages of the Mayan language family. Yucatec Maya is spoken in the Yucat??n Peninsula and northern Belize. There is also a significant diasporic community of Yucatec Maya speakers in San Francisco, though most Mayan Americans are speakers of other Mayan languages from Guatemala and Chiapas.
